The new Livingston Lures Lil Makk, designed for the biggest muksies that swim.
Designed by Steven Paul, the Lil Makk is a compact 4-inch, 1.5-ounce topwater built specifically for musky fishing. Rather than taking a bass-sized bait and asking it to survive musky abuse, the Lil Makk was designed from the beginning with musky-grade through-wire construction, Mustad black nickel hooks, a hardened stainless steel tail and Livingston’s No Roll lip design.
The smaller profile gives anglers another option when fish are pressured, forage is small or larger topwaters are simply getting ignored. Its oversized rotating tail still produces a deep, heavy surface sound, but it does it in a much more compact package.
That combination is what makes the Lil Makk interesting. It is not simply a smaller topwater. It fills a legitimate gap in the musky tackle box by giving anglers a downsized surface bait that can still be fished aggressively and trusted around big fish.
The Lil Makk is now officially released and available to musky and pike anglers.
