Smity Wizard's Spell Bucktail

This little dynamo is a proven musky/pike slayer! The Wizard's Spell is a superb early season musky choice. Built on the age-old style of smaller bladed, smaller profile bucktail presentations, it goes one step further with the addition of a flashabou skirt.
Tested extensively by designer and northwoods guide Jake Smith of Smity Baits, this lure quickly became his number one producing lure. At 7" and a reasonable 1.3 ounces, it casts like a bullet and retrieves with minimal resistance. Unlike the original Wizard, which is a tube only body with a small french blade, the Spell runs a small colorado blade for slightly more thump and flare of the skirt.
A long rod with a lighter power is the perfect setup for this bait. Fish it in and around cover year round for muskies and pike. 12 great color patterns to choose from. Try the black nickel color for bright, post frontal days and slow down your retrieve with your rod tip angle up occasionally to steer the bait and give it an elevation change. Deadly!
